The institution traces its origins to April 1998, when it was established as Pakistan International School Airport Road, Madinah. Guided by a vision of academic distinction and community service, the school achieved affiliation with the Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (FBISE), Islamabad, in 1999. In the same year, it entered into a meaningful collaboration with the esteemed Madaris Dar ul Hijrah Al-Shawi, a respected Saudi institution founded in 1965, thereby coming under the supervision of the Saudi Ministry of Education.
Today, the institution proudly operates under the name Dar ul Hijrah Pakistani National School and College, recognized by the Saudi Ministry of Education and affiliated with FBISE Islamabad for SSC and HSSC programs. It has been entrusted as an approved examination centre by FBISE for SSC and HSSC examinations, and further extends its academic reach through recognition for Bachelor’s and Master’s degree examinations in collaboration with the University of the Punjab, Lahore, and Preston University, Islamabad.
In 2009, Dar ul Hijrah achieved a remarkable milestone by becoming the first private institution in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to be granted permanent affiliation by FBISE—an honour reflective of its unwavering commitment to academic rigor, institutional integrity, and educational excellence. This recognition is underpinned by a highly qualified and experienced faculty, purpose-built infrastructure, state-of-the-art laboratories, and an environment that fosters intellectual growth and innovation.
